A very well respected copywriter often uses these words of encouragement for new writers and followers - "Write well and often". Simple advice. Right? Like most things in life this simple piece of advice makes perfect sense. There is no way to get better at your job than to do it to the best of your ability and to do it often enough. Hello, I am writer by day and a dreamer by night. I dabble in blogging, art work, web development and lots more. As a mother of two I find my days full with different little tasks asking for my attention. Recently I discovered my green-ish thumb and now (try to) grow gourds, tomatoes and chilli apart from trying to keep my seasonal plants alive. If you'd like to work with me, drop me a word at only1talat AT gmail.com (kindly edit the email address so that it makes sense). Ciao.

Vegetarianism - Would you, could you become a vegan?

In a nation of devoted carnivores, dedicated vegans are a miniscule minority.   CNN reports 1.5% of American adults are self-described vegans; that is, they neither eat nor consume any animal products whatsoever.   More a cause than a diet, veganism is gaining widespread support among environmentalists and many mainstream healthcare professionals.   Compare vegans’ steadfast refusal of all animal products against prevailing American trends.   Last year, American meat consumption hit an all-time high—more than 230 pounds of meat for every man, woman, and child in the country.   Despite difficult economic times, domestic meat consumption has increased more than 12% since 2008; meat consumption has more than doubled since 1950.   Chicken and beef lead meat-eaters’ shopping lists, totalling eighty-seven and sixty-six pounds respectively; beef consumption is down a little bit from its historic 1985 high, but consumption of pork has more than made-up the difference.   The average Am
